Chinese products for children banded in Europe

Children's products made in China dominate the market in many countries around the world, but only in Europe, the new products are checked strictly to ensure the safety of consumers.


2 unsafe Chinese dolls

General Product Safety Directive – European Commission has has just recall all products small baby dolls for children that were made in China. This doll named Lucky that were manufactured by Mei Shao Nu company and sold in many countries in Europe. Hungary was the first country notifying the dangers of this product. The product poses a chemical risk because the projectiles contain 0.38 % by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and 12 % by weight of di-butyl phthalate (DBP). They all are chemicals that causes cancer.

Jacko is another brand of China producing dolls of named Lovely Baby Series, My Sweet Baby has been recalled also. The product poses a chemical risk because the face of the doll contains 19 % by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)

These two dolls are recalled across entire Europe and removed from shops, supermarkets are on sale, and prohibited imports into Europe market.


A kind of bicycles is banded in Europe


Products of the two bicycle brands, Ugly Cat and Classic bicycle, originating from China have been recalled thousands pieces in Europe. The product poses a risk of injuries because the bicycle has unprotected sharp edges, which may cause injuries during normal riding, handling and maintenance. In addition, the manufacturer’s instructions do not contain all necessary safety warnings and the user´s manual is missing. The product does not comply with the relevant European Standard EN 14765.


Many kinds of Chinese clothes are banded to export to Europe market


Besides, 3 China clothes brands, Gao Hong, Happy Ealuliul, Lai Xier, have been recalled and banded in Europe. These products is for under-10-year-old children, not comply with European standard EN 14682.

The product poses a risk of strangulation due to the presence of a cord with knots in the hood which could be wound around the neck by a child.
